Oh, No, not another TV Rant! Yes, another!

Have you noticed recently that commercials are getting shorter? Yes, shorter! Now, this would not usually bother me all that much. I find commercials a real bother, mostly. But I find, now, that so very often the last fraction of a second of what would be part of the commercial message is being dropped. This was particularly aggravating when that last fraction of the second had the last digit of the phone number dropped. And then you get the odd second of another commercial flashed on the screen. Then it's gone. If it was my commercial which got "shorted" I would be displeased (I was going to use another word, but that would have been impolite and probably would have gotten me fined by the FCC if it appeared in a commercial). I paid good money to have that commercial aired. Of course, the shorting of commercials may be a move to squeeze in more commercials. And that little "flash" of another commercial is just enough to identify the product without having to pay for it. But I get to see it and remember.
Ah well, there ain't nothin' I can do about it. End of Ra
